Sign Up to the Latest Leadership Lab: Working with Culture in a Merger
The Leadership Labs are a series of free events designed to give you the opportunity to discuss key leadership topics. These are not typical webinars. They’re lively and provocative discussions which will disrupt current thinking patterns.
Join us on 23 April (13.00 – 14.30 GMT) to share experiences, learn from others and discover more about working with culture when making significant organisation changes, restructures, and mergers. In small groups, to allow for attendees to discover and engage with a range of perspectives, we will look the following 3 challenges:
1. Creating open dialogue in teams to counter perceptions and cultural assumptions.
Dialogue to open up discussions about what new combined teams will be like, to surface the perceptions or projections that people naturally create in the absence of experiencing ‘the other side’, until the merger or change has been implemented.
2. Staying neutral as coach / consultant between cultures.
How coaches and externals need to be neutral whilst being close to the clients’ perceptions and fears of ‘others being different’ but not amplify the cultural differences
3. Delivering clarity and inclusion at speed
How to ensure clarity on intent, actions and inclusion to value different views whilst maintaining the speed of integration needed.
We will then gather to enter a lively discussion and share experiences and insights from across participants. We can’t wait to delve into this fascinating topic with you!
This ‘Working with Culture in a Merger’ session will be led by David Jarrett, Fiona Ellis and Danela Ezekiel from Orchard House Partners.
